The Global Excellence Awards from Info Security Products Guide

A Maryland-based business leader with extensive experience in cybersecurity, marketing, and product positioning, Wayne Schepens has served as managing director of LaunchTech Communications since 2015. In this role, he oversees a company that assists tech and cyber brands to enhance their visibility and credibility among potential customers. Recently, Wayne Schepens and LaunchTech announced that the company was named Agency of the Year for Cyber and Info Security in the 2020 Global Excellence Awards program.

Now in its second decade, the Global Excellence Awards program is presented by the Info Security Products Guide (ISPG). With categories highlighting top companies, products, and people, the awards cover all facets of cybersecurity and information technology and stand out among the top recognitions in the IT field.

The Agency of the Year for Cyber and Info Security award highlights the work of the world's top IT marketing and public relations firms. ISPG also presents Global Excellence Awards in related categories, including Communications or PR Team-Department of the Year and Achievement of the Year in Video, Commercial, Advertising, and Short-Film.

All the winners of the 16th annual Global Excellence Awards were announced in early March 2020. The Grand, Gold, Silver, and/or Bronze winners in each award category have been invited to attend the 2020 Global Excellence Awards Dinner and Ceremony, which will be held Monday, October 19 in San Francisco.

About Wayne Schepens

Strategic Consultant Wayne Schepens has worked with WayneWright Consulting LLC since 2006. In this role, he helps software companies compose strategies for product development, as well as marketing and operational improvements. Wayne Schepens utilizes intensive analysis, reporting, and studies to back up his work, following products from their earliest development through to their retail stages.

In addition to his role as a consultant, Mr. Schepens serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member with the University of Syracuse and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He also works with the Army Science Board as a Special Study Member for Knowledge Management Study. Wayne Schepens maintains membership with the IEEE Information Assurance Task Force and the New York Electronic Crimes Task Force. At the former institution, he sat on the Administrative Committee for four years.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime Academy and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Technical University, Wayne Schepens further his education with a Professional Engineers License and a U.S. Coast Guard Certified 3rd Assistant Engineer’s License. During his formal education, Mr. Schepens established connections with the Upsilon Pi Epsilon National Computer Honor Society.

During his free time, Mr. Schepens enjoys coaching sports and swimming, skiing, playing baseball, and mountain biking. He also contributes to the Junior League of Annapolis, American Heart Association, and Southern Shores and Altoona fire departments in his home state of Maryland. A dedicated member of his parish, Wayne Schepens participates in the Teach Faith Formation and supports the Lady of the Fields Catholic Church.
